I was born a hopeless romantic but I caught the wedding + event bug at Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine where I worked in advertising sales. I co-founded and co-owned a successful business called Boston Bridal Lounge, a unique concept to the local wedding market, which included a showroom of event designs on Newbury street, a research library of local wedding professionals, and full service event planning. Upon closing our brick and mortar space, a desire to work with corporate clients on the venue side lead me to working in event sales and event planning and execution for both the social and corporate markets at The Bostonian Hotel followed by the gorgeous State Room and Alden Castle of Longwood Venues. I am presently a full time Clinical Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Events Management and Director of Event Curriculum & Planning at Boston University School of Hospitality Administration, which brings me great joy.

I love events and believe strongly in their vitality. Events promote real human connections. The desire for physical interaction is imbedded in our neuroscience. During the global pandemic, we were all reminded that living in a world where live events are safe and plentiful is a privilege.

Our most cherished memories derive from events. So many days come and go without making a mark on us. But I can share every detail of the days I have hosted, planned or attended a special event. Why? Events provide a shared experience with the people we love, enjoy, exchange ideas with or learn from. For a planner there is nothing more rewarding than a โ€œThank youโ€ from your client at the end of a successful event that brought their vision to life.

Building GreenbyGranas is my little way of re-imagining how our industries can constantly work to change for the better.
